Project: Infill House, City of North Vancouver
This infill house is a prototype design specifically tailored to meet the City of North Vancouver’s requirements. It is designed for the rear yard of a typical 50ft wide lot, although it can also work on some narrower lots. The house features a bright, open floor plan with kitchen/dining/living, all with a vaulted ceiling and clerestorey windows. The main living areas open out onto a generous patio to make the compact space feel much larger. It has a good sized master bedroom with walk-in closet, as well as bathroom and storage space. The plan can also be modified to allow for two smaller bedrooms rather than a single bedroom. The roofing is standing seam metal, and the siding is a combination of horizontal cedar, low-maintenance metal, as well as fiber-cement panels.
